Thinking About a Work-Study Job? Brianna Cimaglia ’21 Shares Her Experience

Brianna Cimaglia ’21, International Relations, America Reads tutor at Broughal Middle School

How did you find your Work-Study position at Lehigh (there are a few ways/places these are listed so they may have found theirs differently than someone else)

The Work Study Club Fair and from older students in my sorority.

What did you like most about your position?

Working as an America Reads tutor at Broughal Middle School my freshman year was a super rewarding experience. I felt like tutoring at the local middle school connected me to the south Bethlehem community and it was fun working with such eagar and hard-working kids. I also had fun as a desk attendant at Taylor Gym because I was able to form friendships with other Lehigh students.

Any tips or recommendations for students who will be taking on a work-study position in college?

Don't be afraid to reach out to the Office of Student Affairs, which has lists of available work study positions.
