Meaning Behind the Objects:
For Aaron Williams, the Lehigh experience has been defined by discipline, discovery and balance. A Finance and Management major from Williamstown, New Jersey, Aaron has spent his college years managing the demands of Division I athletics while building interdisciplinary extracurriculars.
As a member of Lehigh’s swimming team, Williams dedicates more than 20 hours each week to training. His swimming journey began at age eight when his mother enrolled him in lessons after the family moved to a home with a pool. What started as a safety measure quickly grew into a competitive passion that eventually brought him to Lehigh.
Outside the pool, Williams has embraced opportunities to expand his skills and interests. He represented Lehigh at a national fashion case study competition in New York City, where he competed in the marketing discipline and earned a winning finish.
Williams was also selected for the prestigious Martindale Student Associates Honors Program, one of just 12 students chosen. Through the program, he traeled to Croatia to conduct global research and ultimately became a published author.
After graduation, Williams will begin his career as a financial analyst at Exelon. His advice for incoming students: get involved, build your network and develop strong relationships with professors who can support your growth both inside and outside the classroom.
