Hometown: San Jose, Costa Rica

What is your favorite aspect about Lehigh? What I love most about my experience at Lehigh is definitely the campus community and environment, where peer collaboration is embraced in our learning process and there is an ease of communication that makes learning effective and enjoyable. Classes are challenging, but Professors, other faculty, and peer students go out of their way to help you reach your goals. 

What is your favorite academic experience? I've attended events and lectures at Lehigh that have challenged me to address problems creatively and rationally, the Engineering career at Lehigh often follows you, in the best possible way, outside of the classroom.

What helped with your adjustment to life at Lehigh and in the US? One aspect that helped my transition to Lehigh was the IFF program, International Friendship Families, where the OISS pairs you with a faculty member and you get to meet and become friends. After three years at Lehigh, I continue to keep in touch with my IFF
